Happy 2016 Book Nerds!

I’ve been delinquent as of late. All December, and half of January! However, despite my complete failure to blog, I had a very successful reading year in 2015. I’ve included the most important stats below in my very first infographic.

13 book reviews by anne engelhart

How was your 2015?

I love your infographic! I love seeing Juliet Marillier on it even more. :D

I had an amazing reading year in 2015, which made filling out the End of Year Book Survey a lot of fun.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun creating it! I think I’ll be making more throughout the year. 2015 was a great reading year, wasn’t it? And I almost included Girl in the Spider’s Web on here as disappointing, but eh, I don’t want to revisit that too much. :P

Love the graphics! So pretty! I like that you have a mental anguish category and I can easily see how In the Woods might be labeled as such. I’m a little bummed by the two books on your biggest let downs because I really want to read both of those:(. Congrats on reading lots of books and having a great 2015!

Thank you! I used the site Canva, which makes it super easy to create infographics. It was fun! And In The Woods had me just boggled after I read it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for a few days. And I’m the odd one out about ADSOM, I have seen so many positive reviews about that one. I would just warn you not to do the audiobook, because it was pretty terrible. I think that had made the characters unlikable for me.

Some great books this year! Loved When We Were Animals, Wake of Vultures, Tower of Thorns and Uprooted. Regret not reading Walk on Earth a Stranger (yet). Hope 2016 is as good for you!

I hope you get to Walk on Earth a Stranger soon! This was a good year for fantasty westerns, I would not have predicted that this time last year.

Grats on a fabulous 2015. I like those categories you made at the end. Agreed that for the amount of hype there was behind the book, ADSOM was pretty underwhelming too. I still liked it, but I had expected more!

I think the narration for ADSOM really turned me off the story (it was TERRIBLE), but I can’t imagine I would have given it more than three stars had I read it instead of listened to it. Oh well, can’t win ’em all.

I see things like this, and I think how interesting it would be to track stats like author’s gender, genre, etc. And then I remember I’m lazy. ;)

Haha well I was particularly inspired. I’ve been stuck inside due to the cold and it was a good source of procrastination. :P
